 Travel Restrictions For Travelers From India    

On Saturday, Singapore announced travel restrictions for travelers from India, Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka but allowed passengers to enter as long as they were in those countries at least 14 days before arrival, The Indian Express reported. Singapore's Health Ministry said it had announced that travellers with a 14-day travel history would be barred from entering or transiting Singapore in India, Bangladesh or Nepal or Myanmar, Sri Lanka or Pakistan. 

On Saturday 23 October, Singapore eased travel restrictions due to the COVID 19 pandemic and resumed entry to passengers from Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. In Singapore from October 26th, 2021 travellers from countries that have been banned, such as India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan, as well as Sri Lanka will be permitted to enter Singapore. Vaccinated Singaporeans and permanent residents accompanied by non-vaccinated children under 12 years, departing from certain countries and regions, may use the vaccine travel lane to enjoy quarantine-free measures upon arrival with the prevailing requirement to return to SC / PR Lane.    

The prevailing travel health measures apply depending on whether the Singaporean citizen (SC) or his permanent resident (PR) from these countries / regions and his travel history returns to different countries and regions before arriving in Singapore. Travellers from countries where the Air Passport Agreement is valid for entry within seven (30) days of departure must state on the SGARrivalCard health data for all travel movements in the last 14 days.

Travellers entering or transiting Singapore, including Singaporeans and permanent residents, must conduct a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test within 48 hours of the planned departure date of their flight. Eligible travellers must undergo a COVID 19 RT-PCR test no later than 48 hours before departure, undergo a test on arrival in Singapore and remain in a special quarantine facility for at least 10 days. Travellers from non-vaccinated Category II countries (VTL-III) no longer need to undergo a PCR test on arrival. 

A traveler must have a travel history and a list of countries and regions before arriving in Singapore to use this track. Business travellers who use reciprocal green lane and work for Singapore-based companies are subject to the same rules as those at other addresses. They are given authority over the itinerary for the entire duration of their stay.

Singapore has four travel categories and COVID-19 is the strictest category. However, as India does not have a visa upon arrival in Singapore, Indian nationals require an entry visa to enter Singapore. In the first category are four countries (Hong Kong, Macao, mainland China and Taiwan) where visitors must take a PCR test on arrival and remain isolated until negative results come back.

Indians can travel to Singapore after the government announced it would lift its Indian travel ban. Indians were able to travel on Tuesday to the city-state after the Singapore government announced plans to resume travel from South Asian countries like India, Nepal and Bangladesh. On Monday, the United States advised its citizens not to travel to Singapore and raised its alert level for Singapore to the highest level.
